The East

Withrin Mountains

An old mountain rage that runs through the entire east region. The mountains are filled with deciduous trees that bloom a prism of various colors in the spring. There is also an abundance of pine and cedar trees. Smaller plant live is not in short supply. Many herbs grow here, even some that you would not expect to find. Rather than towering peaks, these mountains more closely resemble massive, rolling hills with steep and soft slopes. There are few rocky places as most of the rocks have long weathered into fertile soil.

Star-Crypt Valley

Nestled deep in the Withren mountains is this large valley. It consists of many plants and animals of all sorts. There are a few clearings and a few streams which lead down to a pond in the center of the valley. Some areas are always dark from the mountain shadows while others may get direct sunlight. It is diverse in its landscape and what you may find here.

Spirit Falls

In the rolling hills of the mountains is a waterfall. The water pours from the slopes and off a small cliff. It crashes into pond which has a single stream outlet flowing into the surrounding forest. The single waterfall is not a large one, but rather narrow. The pressure of the water is not so powerful that someone could not stand beneath it and enjoy the cool water. This is an ideal swimming place during the warmer months and rumor has it, a spiritual gathering place for healers and those seeking healing both physical and emotional. It is also a place where dark plots may be created.

Stream of Illusions

A medium sized stream that flows through most of the east region. There are mini-falls that pour over sleek stones. Gemstones are commonly found in the clear water. In some areas there are pools of water that are stagnant. Reflections can easily be seen in these pools. Surrounding the water is woodlands. At the edge of those woodlands are known to grow dangerous plants that some claim cause you to hear or see things that are not there. Some believe the stream itself speaks to them. Consider yourself warned to this place's temptations.

Tangled Forest

Lush woodlands abundant with life. Vines and mosses thrive along with a thick under-story that can be challenging to move through. Tall grasses, weeds, and shrubs make up the under-story. Most of the trees are deciduous, and young. The oldest of trees have fallen, creating even more obstacles. This place is teeming with small wildlife both prey and predator. Also be sure to watch out for briers!

Dreamer's Meadow

A beautiful meadow with tall grass and many flowers that bloom through the spring and summer. There is not a single tree or shrub nearby. It is entirely a variety of other forms of plant life. There is a pond on the edge of the meadow, deep blue and filled with fish and amphibians. Fireflies light the meadow up during the night and are accompanied by the many amphibian sounds. During the day, there are always songbirds to be heard. It is also a favored place for White-tailed deer and rabbits.

Whispering Woodlands

A forest of mostly older deciduous trees, many of which are dead. Most are hard woods such as oak. There is often a fog that hangs in the air all day, making it difficult to see. There is almost never a breeze, but when it does blow, it seems to carry voices along with it. This place is known for being haunted and sightings of ghosts and spirits have been reported. However, it is only rumors and nothing has been confirmed. Many dangers lurk here.
